damn that is fresh!
Bridesmaids was some good sh*t! seriously. pretty darn hilarious la, omg. and the crude jokes were necessarily so. needless to say, the ensemble -
Kristen Wiig,
Maya Rudolph,
Rose Byrne,
Melissa McCarthy,
Wendi McLendon-Covey and
Ellie Kemper - had good comic timing and expressions (intentional or otherwise) which kept many in stitches throughout the movie, haha.
oh, and of course, set to
Britney's
I've Just Begun (Having My Fun), it was totally poised for success, uhhuh. =D

".. But from that moment on, Hermione Granger became their friend. There are some things you can’t share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them."

I have moments where I feel quite isolated by the uniqueness of my life experience. I’ll never be able to explain to anyone that I meet new, what my life has been like or what it’s been all like, really. You kind of have to be in it, so they are the only two other people in the world who I don’t have to explain myself and they’d just — they’d just know. They’ve done everything with me and that bond that we have — I think that even more than we think it is to us now, I feel like when this is over, our friendship will have a new importance for the three of us because I think that when it’s over, we’ll need each other more than we do even now.

the boy who lived
alas, i caught the final instalment of the Harry Potter movies last night! which i felt was pretty good. though, i must add as a disclaimer, that i have yet to muster enough patience to last through even one chapter of
J K Rowling's work, haha. it's like the equivalent of reading that epic Malay novel,
Salina, i think.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 was simply poignant and touching. the scene when
Professor McGonagall began preparations to protect Hogwarts, especially tugged at my heartstrings.
you cannot not love that brief lighthearted moment (one of the rare few in this movie) when she excitedly uttered "
I've always wanted to use that spell!". check out
Molly Weasley's reaction, haha.
let me just say,
Professor Minerva McGonagall is my hero(ine)!! =D she's truly such an amazing lady.
oh, and of course, you cannot miss out that absolutely sweet (though anti-climatic) scene when
Bellatrix got her just desserts after incurring
Mrs Weasley's wrath. after all, she IS
Bellatrix Lestrange and i didn't think she was gonna go down that easily, haha.
"Not my daughter, you bitch!" UH-OH. hmmm, perhaps i should attempt to read the entire series soon enough, after all. well, maybe post-ORD? =D

“Sometimes, contentment is a matter of will. You have to look at what you have right in front of you, at what it could be, and stop measuring it against what you’ve lost. I know this to be wise and true, just as I know that pretty much no one can do it.”

't was just pure MAGICAL!! absolutely loved the entire atmosphere - the music, the ensemble, the costumes, the sets, the African feel - everything was simply amazing! (:

alas,
Petra Kvitova triumped over
Maria Sharapova in straights sets to lift the Venus Rosewater dish. although i'm pretty bummed cos i was rooting for Masha to restore some order in the women's Tour (haha), the new Wimbledon ladies' champion clearly outplayed her and was a most deserving winner. even Masha herself
was full of praises for Kvitova. you really gotta hand it to the Czech - she played a great Wimbledon, including that straight-setter finals.
well, i guess we're finally seeing some diversity in the Tour, and that should be a good thing!

and then there were two (ladies)
after two weeks of action (and drama and suprises) in the ladies' draw at the All England Club, we're set for a finals showdown between..
one's a former champ who lifted the Venus Rosewater dish in 2004, and the other's a semifinalist at last year's tournament. and looking at their journey to the finals, there's definitely no denying that they're worthy finalists.
but of course, i've just a teeny bit something against
Kvitova, heh. so while i am hoping for an exciting, tightly-contested match, i am rooting for
Sharapova to lift up that dish once again, to restore some order in the women's Tour! =D

“In the space between yes and no, there’s a lifetime. It’s the difference between the path you walk and the one you leave behind; it’s the gap between who you thought you could be and who you really are; it's the legroom for the lies you’ll tell yourself in the future.”
