premonition
80th Annual Academy Awards
so the winners of
80th Annual Academy Awards were announced earlier this morning and you can view the full list of winners
here.
anyway, the most interesting winners were certainly for the four acting trophies, which were awarded to non-American actors (see
Oscar Goes International; All Four Leads Are European). and true to my dream last week,
Marion Cotillard indeed brought home the
Best Actress trophy. haha. well, basically, i dreamt that i was watching the Oscars on tv, rooting for
Julie Christie (don't ask me why), but moments later, Marion Cotillard was announced as the winner. cool huh? o.O
and here are links to coverage of the Oscars:

moving on - last Saturday saw the conclusion of
RJC Drama Fest 2008. thought we only managed a joint fourth placing with
Moor Tarbet, i know that we have all put in our best effort, considering the fact that we had a rather difficult script to work with and we worked hard making quite some changes in the few days right before the opening night, and even more changes following comments and response of the audience after the opening night. and really, that's all that matters. so here's a huge
THANK YOU to
all cast & crew & costumes/make-up & publicity & main I/Cs and all who have helped (you should know who you are! =D) in the
Buckle Buckley production,
Make No Bones. it was truly an enlightening, exciting and enjoyable experience. i certainly had a great time. (:
and thank you to all friends (OG-mates and OGLs included!) for your support and encouragement. i really appreciate it. (:
and congratulations to the winners:
Best Actor
Muhammad Nabil (Hadley Hullett)
Best Actress
Sarah Seah (Bayley Waddle)
Best Script
Yeo Boon Ping (Bayley Waddle)
Best Director
Joanna Hioe & Phua Jun Wei (Morrison Richardson)
Best Overall Production
Solve for H (Morrison Richardson)
yeah, that's all for this update. have a great week ahead!

The monkey on your back is the latest trend
I don’t see what anyone can see,
In anyone else but you
Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don’t see what anyone can see,
In anyone else but you
We both have shiny happy fits of rage
I want more fans, you want more stage
I don’t see what anyone can see,
In anyone else but you
You are always trying to keep it real
I’m in love with how you feel
I don’t see what anyone can see,
In anyone else but you
I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body’s swinging from side to side
I don’t see what anyone can see,
In anyone else but you
The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can’t, you forgive me?
I don’t see what anyone can see,
In anyone else but you

once again
life hasn't exactly been extraodinarily exciting. just the usual way it has always been, which is pretty enjoyable all the same. (:
and i am now finally starting on my econs essay outline, which is due tomorrow. ah, staying up late on a sunday night - just that all-familliar feeling once again, of rushing homework before the start of a new school week. right, Dean? xP
damn, school has really started. =/ but on the bright side of it, there's only two days of school this week. say yay. =D
and if you need to know, the only newsworthy happening in Hollywood is of course about
Mrs Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Britney Spears (yes, it's all about her yet again) being hospitalised and her father, Jamie Spears being granted conservatorship over her. read all about it on
accesshollywood.com.
haha, nights!
