well, i have yet to catch High School Musical 3: Senior Year. partly cos of the negative reviews i've heard from my friends. well, i've gotten quite a number of generally positive reviews from my friends as well, so you can say it's gotten mixed reviews.

i am sad. Anuar Zain's concert tickets are selling fast. and the seats left aren't very worth it. ohwell, if i can't get tickets to his concert, Rihanna's will do i guess. =/
and my sis is sad cos Chelsea is losing.

The song's 95-spot jump to No. 1 is the biggest in Billboard history and marks the third time the record's been broken in the past seven weeks. T.I.'s "Live Your Life" made a 79-spot jump to the top last week and his "Whatever You Like" made a 70-spot jump in late August. for one, her dance moves are much slicker (even compared to whatever minimal dancing she did in Piece of Me). and of course, the concept of the video is just freaaaking awesome (thanks to the genius of Joseph Khan, who had previously directed Stronger in 2000 and Toxic in 2004). xD it's such a fun video. needless to say, i loves it! (: (: (:

yesternight (thursday, 9 oct) was a happy night! haha. well, we celebrated the bitch's seventeenth (albeit overly belated) with a dinner at Breeks! Ngee Ann City. along with a coffee date at Starbucks after that. and as usual, outings with the other four are never short of just simply awesome. OH. and we're definitely never going back to breeks! again. partly cos they don't really have good seats for a party of five. =/

(: (: (: oh, in addition, above is a sneak peek on an upcoming 90-min MTV documentary, For The Record, all about the Pop Princess and her fall from grace, and subsequent return to pop music spotlight, where she rightfully belongs of course. xD it features the music Womanizer (duh!) and contains some awesomely exciting photos from the set as well.

moving on, today (friday, 10 oct) was the J2s Farewell Assembly. i.e. the time to for House Directorates to give out farewell gifts to the J2s for their undying passion and support to the respective houses. and of course, it was no exception for members of the green house Buckle Buckley. (: and YEAAAH, our gift totally rocks btw - the J2s clearly love it (or so i think!). xD
ain't it gorgeous! xD
well, so thank you for everything and happy graduation (?) J2s, and all the best for your A-levels alright. best wishes! (:
anyway, the week began on a totally awesome (okay, i obviously need to widen my vocabulary) note, cos on monday (6 oct), i caught The House Bunny with angie at Eng Wah Toa Payoh right after the end of our pe&rp survey. haha, we actually rushed out of the com lab as soon as we were done with the survey at around 10.30am cos the movie was at 11am. confusion set in as we went around around for the cinema once we reached Toa Payoh interchange, and around five minutes past the magical time of 11am, we were even convinced that perhaps the cinema wasn't at that corner of Toa Payoh in the first place, and hence a little disappointed that we'll be missing the movie. :( but NAH, we eventually made it into the theatre hall about ten minutes past 11 with directions for a few teenagers. so yay to us and them! (: OH, and we totally had the theatre all to ourself, except for a lady, an old man and a couple. afterall, who watches a movie at 11am right! xD
oh, and as you would already have heard, The House Bunny was great fun btw. (: haha

dearest birthday girl Li Tying (HAPPY SWEET SEVENTEENTH DEAR!) rightfully reminded me of the another significance of today, apart from it being Hari Raya of course.
well, today being October 1st, is also Children's Day! hurray. xD so, Happy Children's Day y'all!
it's funny how i always used to looked forward to this day with great anticipation when i was young. okay, that was partly cos i'd be excited to see what the teachers would give us children (and i'm sure everyone else was as well!). xD but i guess as you grow older, it just loses its relevance, and hence, you don't really pay attention to it anymore. then coupled with the whole anticipation for Hari Raya as well this year, poof! i totally forgot about Children's Day.
anyhow, afterall, everyone has an inner kid somewhere (or so they say). so don't give me the i'm-all-grown-up reasoning alright. perhaps it's time you search for your "inner kid". haha
speaking of younger days (okay, i make it sound as though i'm so old -.-"), during the Aidilfitri khutbah (sermon) just now, the imam used a Malay word that i haven't heard in the longest time! haha. he was narrating how Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) had sacrificed being with his wife and child to carry out God's work, and had left them at a "barren valley". in Malay, that's translated to "lembah yang kering kontang". yes, KERING KONTANG! xD like, have you heard of that kata ganda since primary school! well, i sure haven't. wow. okay, cheap thrill, i know.
haha, alright. just wanted to share with you these two interesting thoughts. =P
