i love...
1.
TDAY COMM!we're totally the bomb pls. (: just look at our funky tees. enough said. xD
and TDay concert was a success, don't you think so (save for the technical glitches/power trips)? this was the team behind it! (:
so, just really thank you
Ada,
Latha,
Sally,
Grace,
Louis,
Ting Zhang,
Yang Jin,
Nicole,
Julian,
Chen Xuan,
Mr Dave Sim, and
Mrs Sharon Lim for everything!
2. ISLE INDIA TEAM!one with Ms Chanone with Mr Geneand one by ourselves! (: we survived the Pulau Ubin kampong with the stench of the dogs' poo and almost zero electricity and also almost zero technology (we used charcoal and wood for cooking fyi). so well done us! and yay, let's hope for a successful trip at the end of the year. thank you
Mr Gene and
Ms Chan for organising the rather relaxing team-bonding camp.
but of course, there are just some things in life that sucks too:
and of course, the most disappointing of them all,
ahhh... ): ): ): but at least she's still playing in the doubles. all the way
Davenport! (:
still, there are my remaining two faves who survived the third round:
sigh, it's only after Day 5, and this is how my US Open player tracker looks:
ANYWAY, let's hope for no rain for the Nike+ Run tmr! (:
and the blessed month of
Ramadan is in 2 days! (:

tennis! (:
well, this was supposed to be published two days ago, but i just didn't manage to go round completing it. anyway, better late than never, as they always say.
and the purpose of this entry is none other than to celebrate the tennis gold medallists in the Olympics.
1. ELENA DEMENTIEVA! (: (: (:FINALLY, a significant title (well, pretty much Grand Slam equivalent) for
Dementieva! though the match started poorly, with neither players managing to hold their own serves -.-", she really started to up her game in the second set, and was quite consistent from then on. YAYYY. (: still,
Dinara Safina did put up a good fight, so well done to her as well. now, next stop, US OPEN! xD though i'd definitely like to see
Lindsay Davenport triumph at the Flushing Meadows. (:
the gorgeous, skilled, super fit Dementieva with her gold medal!
thanking her supporters in the crowds
clenching her fists in triumph
celebrating her win
well, celebrating her win yet again
serving for the match! 2. Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka!
well, mainly YAY for
Federer, but of course, credit has to go to his doubles partner,
Wawrinka, as well. after his shocking exit in the quarters to
James Blake, it's great to see that he managed to get his Olympic gold through another event. and now, he must go on and succeed at the Flushing Meadows to regain his rightful No. 1 ranking. all the way
Federer! (:
triumphant Federer and Wawrinka
Federer clearly very elated with his doubles win
men's doubles gold medallists!
okay, yay, done finally!
ohya, and
WELL DONE to our
TEAM SINGAPORE PADLLERS for wining the Olympic silver! (: we are so proud of you! afterall, even the PM's National Day Rally Speech telecast was postponed so that we could watch your match. xD
and sorry, but nope, i'm not gonna cover the men's singles finals. (:

life's great (:
well, this space has been neglected for just too long, so i guess it's time for an update. yes,
finally. so rejoice! xD
but of course, firstly, let's look at the world of tennis, where
new World No. 1s are crowned:
Rafa Counts The Days As No. 1 Ranking Awaits
Jankovic Becomes 18th World No.1
i guess
Jankovic finally got what she deserves (though she'll slip out of the No. 1 spot in the new rankings released tmr since she didn't make it to the Olympics finals, sadly), and it's now time for her to get a Grand Slam title ah. well, jiayou her! (:
on the other hand, something about
Nadal just doesn't go down well with me. and i really can't figure it out. perhaps, it's just that i don't think he deserves to be above
Federer. like how i'd say the same thing if
Henin was still playing. well, all i can say is, buck up
Federer and get back what's rightfully yours! xD
oh, and of course, the
BEIJING OLYMPICS! apart from the digitally edited footage of the opening ceremony fireworks, the controversy about the lip-syncing girl and the voice behind it, and
Phelps' pursuit for 8 golds which is going on as best as he could wish for, more importantly and significantly (to all Singaporeans at least)
well done Team Singapore on getting our first Olympic medal in 48 years! yay, well done paddlers, and let's not bother about the big hoo-hah regarding your citizenship. well, you played for Singapore and that's what matters. (:
speaking of which,
wise decision on postponing the airing of your National Day Rally to Monday, PM Lee. afterall, considering the possibly dismal viewership since many will probably tune in to the table tennis gold medal match (i love how the Olympics name the finals - it makes it sound just so grand xD). hmmm, i wonder if they'll have a screening of whatever's remaining of the match once he's done speaking at the rally. haha, just a thought! =D
anyway, for the Olympics tennis finals, GO
DEMENTIEVA! it's time for you to get a grand slam (or its somewhat equivalent, haha) title! (:
and yay, photo of the day:
guess what... to be unveiled soon, woohoo! =D
