yay. it was a great 1st day of the term. (:
cikgu was so nice, extending deadlines till end of the week. (though i struggled to complete it last night. gah. yes. it was the usual sleepless night before schol re-opens. xP)
and portfolio is due only in week 4. hahahah. guess how happy i was when i found tt out once i reached sch, since i had initially thought of completing tt last night, only to succumb to my tired and sleepy self, such tt the productivity totally plummetted. =/ hoho
long story short - i've yet to complete my portfolio. but hey. around 3 more weeks till the deadline. =P (okay. this is not at all a good thing to be spreading about.)

i'm a terrible time manager. and i've realised tt fact many a time, especially so during holidays. well, tt just means to say tt i am not really in a very good state right now, looking at all the hw tt's still untouched. seriously. good luck to me. (:
gah. wat a way to end the holidays. but um. it's the norm for me. so yeah. hahahah. the night is still young, my friends. xP
oh. and a wat a bummer! i just checked tt The Lake House is due to open only on 27july. which is more than a month away. i initially thought tt it was gonna be released yest or the week after. but apparently not. sadsadsad. ): well, i guess i'll just have to wait. patiently. hoho
and the singaporeidol technical glitch! like, wat a shocker =O. but anyhows. it's still kinda clear who are the better ones in the wildcard - jay, mathilda, galye, and meryl. in my opinion, they deserve the remaining 4 spots in the top12. (:

you know wat? i think i'm psychic. well, you see, deangoh called me late last night, asking me whether i was gonna stay up late to do work, and wat work i was gonna do. so i told all tt i had wanted to accomplish during the night, but before i ended, i told him tt it was gonna be just all talk and no work, since i was gonna sleep soon, within the next hour, at the most. coz i knew my whole system was gonna shut down real soon. and the next thing i knew, i woke up and it was already morning, and the last thing i remembered doing was reading a few pages of seorang tua dikaki gunung, after i ended my convo with dean. hahahah.
aren't i sucha psychic? hahahah. tho my prediction was a rather off. (it was actually a few mins, not close to an hour at all) xP
okayokay. anyhows. the past 2 days have been spent from morning till afternoon at the leadership challenge workshop. conducted by Mr Paul Lim. seriously informative and enlightening, yet entertaining at the same time. was highly useful and beneficial, i must say.
and i guess, through the workshop, it also made me feel much more passionate about being really involved in my ccas, having to think really deeply about how i can contribute, and how much essential change i saw necessary to bring them to a higher level and stuff. yeah. reallyreally a must for aspiring leaders. (:
oh. and surprisesurprise, Bring It On ranks as one of Mr Paul Lim's favourite movie (with hidden lesson/meaning/whatever). xP hoho
and it was great tt there was Faizin to talk to about MCC stuff. so yeah. and i took 163 instead for both days to get home. a rather refreshing route home. (:
oh. and a scandal was written on the flipchart during the second session. tsk! =P

hahahah. evenings! (:
so anyway, yest, went out for a birthday celebration of sorts with dean and mathan. yao didn't wanna tag along, and i think yiyang just came back from china or sth. so yeah. it was only the three of us. pathetic much. oh. and i got lost on my way to the food market place in tang plaza (i got the place right, right?), coz smart me went straight to wisma instead of going left (when you exit orchard mrt). hahahah. like omg dumb lorh. -.-"
and guess wat? we saw kennethchew working at a toast shop. with his um, relative. (he explained it in like more than 5 words. xP) hahahah. being nice friends, we urged mathan to get a yummy vanilla and pandan kaya toast. and well, we actually sorta brought customers in okay. coz he told us tt not many stopped by tt shop, which was true, but apparently, when we were buying the toast, a couple came along, and then, followed by some others. so yay. we're nice people. see.
anyhows, we walked all the way to fareast, and for lack of ideas for dining, we chose bk. hahahah. all the way to bkfareast to eat. smart us. we then decided to catch a movie at shaw, but changed to gv plazasing, since mathan had free movie passes (which he claimed he didn't wanna give us, but he lied. =P). so fastforward, and we were in the queue for tickets, still unsure of wat to watch. but yeah. we managed to settle on the nun seconds before placing the order. anyway, the nun was actually not as bad as many claimed larh. watchable, at the least. (: oh. and i saw the trailer for The Lake House, starring keanureevs and sandrabullock. which is so omg nice. must watch! xP
then walked around plazasing, window-shopping, and especially stopping by sasa (the store tt can cause suffocation, seriously. =/), thanks to parfum-addict mathan, before parting ways for home.

okay. i am freaking out. wait. can you like actually sense tt i'm freaking out? nvm.
and you know why? coz i've got a gazillion and one schwork to rush in this one week. of which 2 days are gone due to workshop, another one due to some competition, and bits of time here and there for meetings and whatnots. yay. well done, sadikin. (:

pretty much everyone else, as well, right.

and yesterday was a full day of standard first aid course (session 2). tmr's the third and last one, which means tt it's the theory and practical test. but no worries. coz i bet mrvincentlum will conduct a great revision session tmr. =P
oh. speaking of mrvincentlum, he's currently a nusmedicine student, riclass of 2000, and my bro's former redcross senior (he was sec4 when my bro was sec1). batchmate of zhengshuwei, who is also currently a nusmedicine student. o.O

hello! just got back from recce at macritchie with syafiq, taufiq and arif. hahahah. what a long hike it was. from bishan to macritchie then to the treetopwalk, then back to lornie road. o.O
and it didn't help tt the other three were walking at such a leisurely speed. so we took like abt 1 and a half hours to get to the treetopwalk, about 4.8km. and by then it was already around 11.30am. when we like set off from bishan around 9.20am (i was late! xP hoho). -.-"
then walkwalkwalk somemore all the way out, and when we finally reached lornie road, it was already past 1pm. hahahah. oh. and memories of sec1gtc2004 flooded back. the horror. =/

oh. i've got like more than 30 photos which i just snapped and snapped during the recce. more than what syafiq snapped using his digicam. hahahah.
anyhows, yesterday...
had a library meeting to discuss annualgeneralmeeting in the afternoon. when i realised tt jonathanng has the same phone as me. =O yes, it's tt bad to have the same things as him.
then, on my way back, decided to meet up with sis and her friend, syidah, at the sengkang nlb, coz i feeling very bored. yes, i know. i just love to waste time. (: heh
anw. we ended up just buying mocha iceblended from the newly halal-ed cafe galilee, then proceeding on to macs, where there was supposedly free wireless internet, coz syidah needed to use the internet for her work. and you know wat? she even plugged her laptop to a free socket at macs. hahahah. and none of the staff bothered abt tt. and the next thing i knew, some business ppl, one of which was using a laptop, went around the macs looking for wat i believe was a free socket. perhaps they were thinking of doing the same too. -.-" too bad.
oh. and wat was originally supposed to be study time, turned to be a private movie screening of scary movie 1, in macs. wat a damn lame and dumb movie it was. kept us giggling like some lunatics esp during hilariously lame scenes. made us look like really crazy ppl. hoho.

mornings! my update as promised.
on sunday, after coming back from camp youthnique, i received some really great news - tt i was gonna get a new hp. (: wheee. and tt's not all. my sis was gonna get her own hp too. double happiness. so, after much deliberation, my dad decided tt i will take the new line, and tt my eldersis was gonna take over my line. yay. so my current plan is the ione plus student promotion, with 1000 free sms, 100 min free outgoing, and free incoming. (more details here) somewhat a better plan than classic i guess.

yeah. so now all my siblings have a phone, but not my parents. hahahah. and they're all black except for my eldest sis' silver samsung sgh-e640.

went for a standard first aid course (session 1 out of 3) from morning till afternoon at red cross house in penang lane. hahahah. getting to the place was the bomb. led by yours truly, we made our way to ymca with two other scouts not from our unit tagging behind, because well, i thought tt the red cross house was beside it. i read about the location at the red cross webby (here) the night before, so i was very confident tt i got the place right. apparently, i was wrong. so we continued walking behind park mall, and passing ywca, and then we finally found the red cross house beside it. like, goodness. it's beside ywca, not ymca. see, it wasn't totally my fault, benhong. xP hoho
anyhows. our course was conducted by a highly articulate and very cheerful (and not to mention sadistic as well) old boy, mrvincentlum. he's damn mr-all-smiles 24/7, even when he speaks of stufff like death, and various methods of suicide. =O freaky. hahahah.
even the admin woman, was damn guai lan, when we were paying our course fees. she even said tt to her colleague larh, like -.-".
oh. and the two scouts not from our unit were supposed to have theirs at some place else, which in other words, mean tt they went to the wrong place. haha. no wonder they were the only 2 lone souls from their unit. o.O

went for a standard first aid course (session 1 out of 3) from morning till afternoon at red cross house in penang lane. hahahah. getting to the place was the bomb. led by yours truly, we made our way to ymca with two other scouts not from our unit tagging behind, because well, i thought tt the red cross house was beside it. i read about the location at the red cross webby (here) the night before, so i was very confident tt i got the place right. apparently, i was wrong. so we continued walking behind park mall, and passing ywca, and then we finally found the red cross house beside it. like, goodness. it's beside ywca, not ymca. see, it wasn't totally my fault, benhong. xP hoho
anyhows. our course was conducted by a highly articulate and very cheerful (and not to mention sadistic as well) old boy, mrvincentlum. he's damn mr-all-smiles 24/7, even when he speaks of stufff like death, and various methods of suicide. =O freaky. hahahah.
even the admin woman, was damn guai lan, when we were paying our course fees. she even said tt to her colleague larh, like -.-".
oh. and the two scouts not from our unit were supposed to have theirs at some place else, which in other words, mean tt they went to the wrong place. haha. no wonder they were the only 2 lone souls from their unit. o.O

as elton put it, it was a youthful and unique camp. hahahah. okayokay. lame, i know. xP overall, i guess it was indeed fun and enjoyable, though unbearably slack at times. hoho =/
got to know more scouts, definitely, the closest being my sembahyang buddies - imran, shah, syahmi, and haris. hahahah. a bunch of fun ppl larh. how can they not be, esp when the first question syahmi asked all of us after our first zohor prayers, was on whether we had a girlfriend. o.O
like, what an introduction. hahahah.
anyhow, quick recap:
day1 - icebreakers at westcoastpark with aspire ppl (including sergius and chinks, and tt acs(i)gangshow gamemaster), kite-assembling session with bimandhra's mum (surprisesurprise), kite-flying at westcoastpark, nautical night/gangshow (with guest performance by the latecomers. whee. =P right).
day2 - urban race in cbd (and you were expected to know the places to go to - self orienteer. was quite okay.), pub newater plant tour (yay. say water again: wah-ter. xP okay. i'm evil. tsk), night games (hahahah. "this is the camp bottle"), movie screening (coach carter disc 1) + pigging out on snacks and jellies (whose brilliant idea arh, benhong?), world cup screening.
day3 - safra yishun country club: canopy challenge walk (and i sat on the wire. hahahah. xP), rock climbing, wet wet wild (very fun stuff yeah. whee.), yummy closing dinner (and sitting opposite interestingly weird ericson), movie screening (coach carter disc 2).
day4 - area cleaning, evaluation, byebye.
as you can see, it was a very fun and slack camp. so yeah.
ohya, and to show tt i've learnt well, to appreciate ppl's efforts, here's a big thank you to the organisers, facilitators, and ppl who were involved in the planning and execution of the camp; which basically means camp youthnique committee. (: thanks for a great camp youthnique. yeah.
okay larh. tt should be all. gotta turn in soon since i'm gonna have a full day first aid session tmr, from 9am to 6pm. gahhh. =/

hahahah. i'll be away yet again from tmr, till sunday, at hq-organised camp youthnique, supposedly a fun camp. (they wrote FUN in caps in the circular, fyi) fresh, and interesting concept there. and yet another first in my scouting life - sleeping bag is in the packlist. aha. joy to the world. xP hoho
anw. on to more disturbing news. i've yet to start on my holiday h/w. and it's already week2 of the hols. and when i'm back from camp, it's already week 3. arghhhh. =/ oh. and in fact, i've done nth much productive thus far.
yes. i am sucha lazy piiig. someone tell me i've been too much into the holiday mood. o.O
okay. nvm. i shall attempt to start tonight. shall do my packing, then finish bio ws, and maths practice ws for commontest1 failures, and finally read azizihajiabdullah's seorang tua dikaki gunung. whoa. sounds like a great plan to me. xP

the omen is out today! so er, any sponsors? hoho. and yeah. i have yet to watch xmen3 as well. sad huh? oh. eyyy. i wonder wat's on in 12 days' time. xP

anyway, i realised tt my whole week is burnt. yet anothe camp from thurs to sun. and there may be a full day first aid course from thurs to sat. gah. how un-holiday it's gonna be.

hahahah. i've just got to say this: i helped a person on saturday! (: yay for me.
well, i was on my way back from my cousin's, in bus service no. 804. as it stopped to turn into yishun interchange, i caught a glimpse of a guy who just got off, running after the bus. but being me, i didn't think much of it, until the bus started moving again. i turned around and lo and behold! on the seat tt he had been on, was his ez-link card. so immediately, i figured out wat happened, and once i got off the bus, i ran to the bus stop which he had alighted at, to pass it to him. and i walked away, beaming with pride, tt i had helped a person. (:
see! i'm nice! xP hahahah.
oh. and when i told my parents before running off to return the ezlink card, my bro said to me, (sth along the lines of) "whoa. you want to be a good citizen huh?"
well. i am! (:

so it was my cousin's wedding yest. hmmm. it was just like any other wedding. perhaps just a little more star-studded, with s-league players around, the only known to me being nohalamshah. hahahah. xP ohwell.
and quote of the day - "my intestines feel as though they're gonna break off" uttered the deejay, rubbing his lungs/stomach area, after he sang a very high song tt he obviously struggled with. poor thing. hoho
hm. and saturday. well, my day started with a yfc sales and marketing workshop at ymca, with dean. veryvery fun and entertaining, i must say. kudos to the very eloquent speaker, mrchristopherlock. and he even readily gave a $50 note to a group whose presentation won him over. like =O. oh. and most ppl in the room were so not convinced (myself included) when he told us tt he has kidneyfailure and diabetes (and stroke if i'm not wrong), and tt he needs to be on dialysis soon, and he's losing his sight. until he showed us photos of his operation a few years back. =/
got to know mi-an (however tt's spelt) from hci, and david and shan from pioneerjc, when we had to be split up for group discussion. lively and nice people they are. they made me and dean feel not at all akward. (:
after tt, at around 5+pm, me and dean went in search of a makan place. walked through dhoby xchange along the way, and then mrt-ed to cityhall, and walked all the way to esplanade with hopes of eating at a non-existent burgerking. well, i always thought there was one there, and dean just conveniently kept muuim abt it, leaving me to discover tt fact. gahhh. xP hahahah. i felt so dumb. so we walked all the way back and finally decided to eat at marinasq, if i'm not wrong. never been to tt place before. felt very alienated. so finally settled down at the burgerking there, and i bought the beef meal, and dean, the chicken one.
then we parted ways, with him going to payalebar, and me, meeting my family at yishun for a visit to the home of the then bridegroom-to-be.
wat a busy weekend it was, but nonetheless, fun! (:
but hey tt's wat hols are supposed to be, right?
