because family is love
well, while many most other were out celebrating Christmas at church or visiting relatives, my family went to eat seafood! haha. we had chilli crab, oats-coated prawns, fried baby squids, and other equally mouth-watering dishes. YUM! =D
and i've been out with the siblings recently. (:
anyway, speaking of family, and since i've just completed watching all the aired episodes of the second (and final! =/) season of
Pushing Daisies (three unaired episodes are scheduled for next summer), bear with me as i rant -
WHY IN THE WORLD IS PUSHING DAISIES BEING CANNED! ):
it's such an awesomely fresh and interesting dramedy with a genius of a plot and storyline. and the actors are just so fun and wacky! and of course, it doesn't do justice at all to
Kristin Chenoweth's character,
Olive Snook, which she portrayed so darn well! xD
Kristin Chenoweth as Olive Snook
(she totally deserves a photo ) and just to prove my point, she received an Emmy nomination for her role this year. (: i especially loved the episode when she moved to a nunnery in a bid to keep her silence on all the secrets that she's been hiding.
as one hell of a nun in Bad Habits (Season 2 Episode 3)
i just
really adore her - she's such a colourful character! =D
OH. and their costumes (and shoes) and sets/props are just so awesome to boot! they can go from their
typical awesomenesslook at them shoes!and the colours!
... to circus fun
... to magical fantasy
... to holy goodness
... to even wackier fun!
... and a musical moment from Olive! xD
there's no other show i've watched which contains so much life and energy and happiness and
colour! =D
AH, THE SHOW'S PURE BRILLIANT! what's with the American audience la, omg. ))):
seeing how i've dedicated most of this entry to
Pushing Daisies, you should agree that it kinda is AWESOME. (:
OH. and since Christmas is all about giving, allow me to share this awesome Korean (i think) video-sharing website to you:
Pandora TV! it has most American tv shows, and the videos are quite well-organised too.
to end off this exciting post, here's a better live version (or so i think) of
Run, performed at
UK's Top Of The Pops Christmas Special:
Leona Lewis - Run
OH, and thank you
Lionel Lim Siang for the lovely snail-mailed Christmas card! (:
