okay. since many are talking about it, i guess i shall just pen down my own thoughts on the current state of singapore idol.

1. the producers have made a grave mistake by promoting it as a 'singing competition' only at this point in time. they should've started since like the top 12? plus, 100% voting does not equate to quality. esp when each vote costs a whopping 60cents. naturally, only those with super deep pockets would vote. this voting sorta worked in america, because the lines were toll-free. revert back to talenttime format, imho. or make it 50-50. how's that?
but yes. the ads on si, unlike in america, are not worth so much that they can cover the voting costs. and fremantle made the show to be based on 100% votes, thus an Idol competition. so there.

2. give poor joakim a break. seriously. he is not to blame. i bet he must be feeling very guilty right now, being finger-pointed as the one who's 'overstaying' in the competition, in the expense of the better singers. (well, if he's not, god bless him) but, i guess he's trying his best to carry on for the sake of his fans - the xmms and xdds. xP okay. that was meant to be serious. anyway, the main point is that since he has a large fanbase who have been supporting him all the way, it would be irresponsible of him to just pull out right now, which i believe would be his preferred choice. (again, if he's not, god bless him) if so, then all their votes would have gone to waste. so in this sense, he has to go on for his fans' sake. yep. so pls, stop slamming him and give him a break. if anything at all, blame his fans. which in kinda evil too. so don't slam anyone and just support your faves who are left in the competition. i did my part, casting 10 votes ($6) for nurul last week. (:

tragic much

blah. my old cpu's like totally busted. well, apparently, the windows software or some other software (bottomline: it's a software), became corrupted or sth, and caused all the files to be deleted. yes. all the files, documents, mp3s, videos. everything in it. =/ yay.

boohoo. such disappointing and depressing news. gahhh.

anyway, was reading singapore idol forum. and was pleasantly amused by the views of the forummers. esp that joakim and jasmine's fans are made up of xmms and xdds, abbreviations for xiaomeimeis and xiaodidis. hahahah. xP okay. it's more of the terms used that really amused me. ohwell. but still.

okay. enough of me i guess. here's shayne ward's take on somewhere over the rainbow on uk's the x factor finals. didn't really think that his voice's that impressive (though really above average), until i chanced upon this video clip. he sounds rather bland on record. well, that's only a good thing.
oh. and he reminds me a lot of gareth gates. well, in some ways larh. um, speaking of gareth gates, there haven't been much news on him of late huh.

heyhey. alas. i didn't attend the remedial class just now. well, how could i have gone for it when i woke up around half past noon. xP yeah. i am was sucha piiig. but fortunately, there's gonna be yet another session, so i'm safe. phew.

and so i went to hq today. for scout lore quest briefing. um. the briefing was quite good i must say, and imho, i feel this event (competition/challenge/whatever) is rather well-planned. surprisingly. okayokay. i'm so evil. but anyway, that's good. (: after that, went by the office to get a copy (plus a couple more for the rest) of the youthnique camp (flashback: june hols) newsletter/magazine. ah. the memories. (: how i love camps.

and now here i am. feeling oh-so lazy to do the work tt i've got. ohwell. since i've nth better to do right now, or rather, am lazy to do the 'better stuff', let me post... photos! =D

well, let's just start off with this: i've gotten myself a new cpu. coz the old one was totally gone case. xP alas. how refreshing it is to see a very clear desktop. hahahah. and not to mention, the large available size.
