hahahah. so basically, had a christmas dinner invitation at bryan's house on monday, along with nabil and chriskwan, as well as his church friends, of whom, only two - samantha and kendrick - turned up. (: oh. and when nabil left around 10.40pm (and fyi, samantha and kendrick had left by then), only then did chris arrive. yay! hahahah. dragged me to stay till almost midnight, scolding his depthead on msn, chatting with the others, and consoling those he ignored. hahahah. interesting, i tell you.

anyway, thanks again for the invitation, bryan, and sorry for all the trouble your family (mum - jamie, dad - norman, and brother - leslie. hey. i know their names okay!) went through to accomodate me and nabil! (: really appreciated.

and on to today.

had meeting from 9am till 11am, then rushed over to mrsyap's for the exco christmas lunch gathering. for which i was late by around 2hrs. hahahah. okay, bad role model. anyhow, had the usual stuff, then played games (DoA is highly exciting! hahahah), after which we had a brief meeting with exco 06/07 before kangjie and me had to leave. yeah. that pretty much sums it up.

and of course, thankyou for the invitation, mrsyap. (:

then off i went to orchard, to meet dean to get presents for the 2f five. out of mutual agreement, we decided to share presents for each of them (yao, yiyang and mathan), and forget about each other's till some other day. hahahah. got ty plushies at ngeeanncity; a giraffe for yiyang, rabbit for yao and a pig xP for mathan. then we decided to get sth personalized, so we went round looking for gift-a-name kinda shops, but found none. initially. well, there was a small counter at b1 taka, so thankgod for that. yay. so we had our presents ready just as the clock struck 6pm, which was the meeting time.

so we met them, and had our usual meal at seoul garden (yet again) at ngeeanncity, this time round though (our fave spot is of course the amk one). and bad service, TSK. but at least there was the laughing woman. xP (almost) forever smiling. uhhuh. and guess who we saw (who took the seat of the tables next to us)? mrlimlitsan - geog teacher for a week (if i'm not wrong) in sec2. yeah. i still rmbr that litsanity was his folder name on the ri server. hahahah. but we didn't approach him though, since he didn't recognise any of us. didn't wanna be paiseh larh.

then off we went in front of the cartier shop (again!) to exchange our presents. in front of the bigbig christmas tree. well, sort of. hahahah. and of course, some ppl just refuse to get presents for others. -coughyaoguangcough- anyway. got a pooh holder from mathan, along with a hot babe o.O tag. crazy woman. and a snow globe thing with two bears in it from yiyang. "friends - every time you're with me, you always make me smile." awww. and undecided present for dean, though he's thinking of getting a tshirt/shirt for me, and me getting him the same. perhaps.

then took quite some photos with the tree as the background. for about a good 20 or 30 minutes? xP hahahah. and cal-vin teo took over for the group shots, coz he was around the area. thanks!

i guess i shall do a very quick update, since i'm bored anyhow.

friday

had sec 1 registration day. highly fun, i tell you. xP around an hour or so being a registrar, and two hours or so being a bibi&baba staff, passing shirts size 12/13/14/14.5/15/15.5 to parents and their sons for a while, then attending to the pe shorts section, and giving opinions like "yes, that size looks fine on him" and "perhaps he should get a size bigger" and what not. sounds fun, right. yeah!

saturday

had departmental meeting in the morning, which was kinda stone, but alright larh. then had brunch at macs with majority of dept, after which dept head came as we were done. so waited till he was done, and off i and nabil went to um, citylink, then rafflesplace. hahahah.

then met up with prisch friends, and we basically kinda played arcade, caught charlotte's web which was quite heartwarming (and the plot of which only i didn't know coz the rest did it as their sec 1 lit text. hahahah.), wanted to bowl but bowling alley was full, so we again went to the arcade. yay.

sunday (today!)

went for cousin's housewarming, then off to geylang to get mum and dad's specs done. and yeah, that's it. xP

oh, anyway, i've been getting quite a number of positive responses to my new hairstyle.

1. parent during sec1 regday, when i was helping her with her son's uniform fitting - "nice hairstyle, ah!", out of the blue (seriously!)

2. director of pupil development, when i was walking out with nabil after sec1 regday - "new haircut ah? handsome, but if you flatten your hair a bit more, more handsome.", hahahah, in other words, i cannot do the mohawk. which is obvious larh.

3. uncle, just now - "wah. new hairstlye, eh? boleh tahan."

4. lady at the specs shop - (to mum) "your son's hairstyle very nice."

hahahah. ego boost! (: yeah.

hahahah. okay. there hasn't been much going around these past few days except for meetings, and sch stuff. yeah. fun, i know. (:

okay. let's go on a day-by-day update.

tuesday

had piorgcomm meeting in the morning. yeah, the very cool and breezy morning which could've been spent in bed, sleeping. xP anyway, later in the afternoon, met sis at compasspoint to get a haircut (more about the haircut soon.. o.O), and she got her sweater thing and a top from u2. uhhuh. pretty much rounded up the day.

wednesday

had recce for kenalsuai with naibpresiden haris and prog ic arif. sungguh fun, really. we went to nus, then intelligently got our way around. visit this house, that hall and stuff. pro right. hahahah. then we got our way to kentridgepark. with the help of my bro, who was at home and checked the way online. thanks, bro! (: but not before walking some kilometres when we could've taken an alternate route via another bus service. yay. hahahah.

and well, arif just couldn't stop talking loadsa crap, esp about getting a big-boobed girlfriend. -.-" sungguh pure man, his mind. uhhuh.

thursday (today!)

had prep and briefing for tmr's sec1 registration day. yet another highly fun day. packed the bags, checked the bags, briefings, touring (and the whole fitting room issue. and baorong. =P), tearing the moe letters/forms along the perforated lines and sorting them into the bags, and labelling the bags with their names. whoa. tmr, the sec1s must be thinking that we were so nice as to add a personal touch to their plastic bags. hahahah.

the whole thing overstretched and ended like an hour or so later. after which, yiyang and me scooted off to the library to get our lunch from kangjie (thanks!), ate lunch in the pantry, and off we started on the camp report. as wanted by hermajesty by today. but well, we understand, don't we. xP yeps, we do. hahahah.

yeah. that's pretty much it.

oh. and about the haircut! well, you see, the barber was almost done with me, when his shaver accidentally touched my scalp and tadah! there was a very small bald spot. so he proceeded to trim the sides and all to level with the bald spot. and tadah! the end result - a very paikia (sp?) hairstyle. gosh. i seriously think it makes me look just like an ex-con. how flattering. riiight.

and i've got mixed reactions. generally, ppl are shocked =O by the new hairstyle (which may i re-iterate, wasn't what i wanted), and they don't think it goes with me. then a minority say it's quite a refreshing hairstyle on me. hahahah. oh. and yeah. i was mentioned (more like suaned) when mryap talked about getting a haircut before tmr for the registration day. thaaaanks.

bowl, shop, eat

okay. so yesterday was a fun day out with siblings. (: minus the eldest sis tho.

anyway, we first headed to the bowling alleys at katong. since it was supposedly the cheapest around (according to sis). i rmbr going there once for the first hml amazing race that i took part in, but i wasn't really sure of that. and this being only my fouth bowling session, i wasn't really expecting much from myself. well, how wrong was i.

then we walked to parkway since bro wanted to get his shoes and bag, and sis wanted a top. so we walked around. there was this really nice pair of black beetlebugs, but sadly, there wasn't his size 8. walkwalkwalk, but still nothing much caught their eye, so we had lunch/early dinner at banquet, where i had my chickenchop. (: yum. walked around some more, then we decided that it's off to bugis. xP hahahah. so essentially, we got nothing at parkway. well, except for food, that is.

anyway, bugis was obviously a wise choice. bro got his square bag at bugis street, and his everlast shoes at bugis junction. and i got myself a samuel&kevin jacket. =P oh. and sis didn't really liked any of the tops, so she just got her sunblock and plaster at watson's. hahahah.

and so we all walked away contented. (:

empty

i feel so useless, guilty (of not being productive during the holidays as i should be, hence the feeling of uselessness), and very very um, empty.

argh. i'm all about negativity right now.

[and sis just popped by the room to tell me that chelsea's got a hat-trick. okay. she meant chelsea's scored three goals. yay. -.-"]

anyway, today wasn't all that bad. helped out from morning at the amazing race at east coast, organised by the Siglap and Kampong Chai Chee YEC (Youth Executive Committee - a wing under People's Association Youth Movement, which is yet again a wing under PA - enlightenment i received from former chairman of singlap yec, mr gary). yes, i know. that's such an interesting fact. xP

after which met sis at plazasing to get mum's friend's mp3player, then off the vivocity to meet her friends and walkwalkwalk. till around 9pm.

(yester)day started with exco meeting in school at 8am. well, supposedly. hahahah. some people just can't read their messages thoroughly, be it lengthy e-mails or s(hort)ms-es. -.-" tsk.
anyway, meeting ended around 10.30am, so i decided to wait for wayne and zaki since the briefing they had was gonna end at 11am. didn't wanna go to paradiz alone. imagine how boring that would be. so i filled my time listening to my mp3player, while boss lawjiahao and headboy paultern played worms on the laptop. they had another meeting a 1pm.

anyway. when zaki and wayne were done, we went to the adminblock toilet to change. rather, what was left of the toilet:

anyhow, after we changed out of our uniforms, off we went to paradiz via mrt, and joined the rest of the scout unit and venture unit in LANing. yes, you heard it right. and just to confirm, i did LAN as well. xP

played the usual CS, where i kept getting killed. though i did manage some kills myself. i think i made some improvement, compared to last year's group celebs LAN session. so yay. (: after playing enough of CS, i swiched to warcraft. hahahah. this time round though, i was rather owned. really. coz i had zero kills. hahahah. truly a first-time noob. ohwells. not too bad i would say, since i LAN like once a year. yeah, only during the same event. so, there's always next year's group celebs to redeem myself! xP

after that, off we went to eastcoast, taking 16. then walkwalkwalk to eastcoast macs, only to discover the j1s yet to be present. tsk. so we stoned in macs till further instructions.

hahahah. anyway, after we were done with the bbq and cleaning up the area, it was time for the announcement of postholder appoinments 2007. and as it had been through the years, some appoinments were rather surprising, and others were expected. whatever it is, i'm sure they deserve their posts. having been picked by the Group Council. (: to those who didn't get any post, don't be disheartened. the same goes to those who didn't get the post they wanted. instead, work harder towards a post in 2008. hard work, dedication and passion will pay off eventually.

as for me; i received the post of a committee member in the venture exco. simply meaning exco-at-large. which was what i requested for during the interview. i guess it's alright not getting a specific post, as i aware of the weight of my other commitments, and being a committee member gives me flexibility in my contribution to 01. at the end of the day, i wanna make sure that i've done what's expected of me, if not, more.

anyway, Owl'06 has a reason to really celebrate. we've produced (okay, with their own efforts as well, of course):
